Sensor and Actuator Lab

Prototype sensors and actuators are available for experimentation and research in the Sensor and Actuator Laboratory. In addition to containing working examples of many common CubeSat sensors and actuators (e.g., magnetometer, sun sensor, GPS, accelerometers, reaction wheel, torque coils), the S&A Lab contains two working EyasSat instructional satellites. The lab also features 8 Dell PC workstations with LabVIEW software and the CompactRIO real-time data acquisition system. The lab is used to teach an annual graduate course in satellite hardware, but is also available for research.
