Biography

Dr. Takuji Ebinuma received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, and his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in August 2001 on the topic of "Precision Spacecraft Rendezvous Using Global Positioning System: An Integrated Hardware Approach."

He was subsequently employed as a postdoctoral Research Associate until Spring 2003. While at UT-Austin, his research activities focused on precision spacecraft navigation using the Global Positioning System (GPS) for autonomous spacecraft rendezvous, and decentralized control of satellite formations.


After his departure from the University, Dr. Ebinuma worked for 2 years as an Aerospace Engineer at Surrey Satellite, Ltd., designing and testing small satellites in the United Kingdom.  Since then, he has been employed by Mitsubishi Electric Co. in Kamakura, Japan, where he now resides.
