Biography
Jack Goetz is a Masters student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Originally from Vermont, Jack attended The University of Notre Dame where he completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 2006.
Jack is interested in spacecraft structures and orbital dynamics and used his undergraduate elective slots to take basic courses in orbital dynamics and finite element methods. During the summers of 2005 and 2006 Jack interned with The Boeing Company, first as a Liasion Engineer in Seattle WA, and then as a member of the ISS Structural and Mechanical Analysis Team in Houston.
Other than engineering, Jack enjoys reading, writing, running, and Fencing. He was a foil fencer on the Notre Dame Varsity team during his undergraduate years, including the 2003 and 2005 National Championship seasons. Currently he spends most of his free time writing a science fiction novel with hopes to send it in for publication some time next year.
