Biography

Jessica is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, a Texas Space Grant Consortium Graduate Fellow, and a College of Engineering Thrust 2000 Fellow. She is originally from Houston and completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in aerospace engineering at UT-Austin. Her graduate research focused on Chaser/Target spacecraft stationkeeping in a relative reference frame.

Jessica currently works in the Flight Path Control group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, and has performed navigation and mission design work for numerous projects, including the Chandrayaan-1 Indian Space Agency lunar mission, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) mission, and Soil Moisture Active and Passive (SMAP) mission.
