Biography

David Gaylor is the Vice President of Aerospace Systems at Emergent Space Technologies, Inc. ( http://www.emergentspace.com)

He received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2003. He is a co-founder of the Java Astrodynamics Toolkit (JAT) open source software library project. The JAT website is located at: http://jat.sourceforge.net.

His research interests include: autonomous spacecraft navigation and guidance, constellation design, satellite formation flying, optimal low thrust trajectories and satellite collision avoidance.
