Synthesis of GPS Attitude Determination Algorithms

Status: Completed project, September 2002 -- August 2003
Type: GPS Receiver Algorithms Development

The goal of this task is to take several attitude determination algorithms that have been developed separately and to combine them into a single design.

The GPS receiver that was initially chosen for this task was the PiVoT receiver.  However, it was subsequently determined during the task that some of the measurements that were needed were not available from this sensor.  Therefore, the task was completed in post-processing form using another receiver, the Orion receiver built in the GPS Lab at UT-Austin.
